So the game I'm playing now is an oldie. Persona 3 came out in 2006 for the PS2 and it's part of Atlus's Megami Tensei series of video games. The previous Persona game, however, have nothing to do with each other which is really interesting. the game is amazing. Rocking a 9.6 on IGN it is worth the buck.

The game combines an RPG sim dating aspect with a final fanatsy gameplay, and Dungeons and Dragons adventure. You play a boy who has social relationships with his friend and builds bonds with different people all over town. Based on these relationships you create social links that strengthen the bond you have with Personas which are manifestations of the rapport you have with these people. The Personas are like spirits that can only be called by the characters shooting themselves in the head which decreases the characters HP or SP. It gets weirder...At the "Dark Hour" which is a time between midnight and 1 am, the characters with the ability to summon Personas can enter the High school which turns into a huge tower dungeon that the characters adventure through. The story plot thickens when the characters try to explain this phenomenon and continue to climb higher and higher into this deadly and dangerous tower. By fighting higher and higher, the characters in the story weaken the forces of darkness taking over the city that is plaguing the citizens with nightmares and what is considered an "apathy syndrome" which causes people to become practically brain dead.

The game has amazing graphics, challenging bosses and levels, and test the limits of a gamers skill. It does not matter if you are a high level in certain level, if you make a mistake or poorly plan your characters when attacking, you may risk you party and practically have to start over as save points are scarce.

This game is not for the newbie or the weak gamer. If you want a challenge, love RPGs, and looking for a change in gaming. I'd give this a chance. :D

P.S. you get to go to a high school in Japan and yes you have to take tests and study and build charisma and stuff to be a stronger player. Thus why its like Sim dating game to me....LMAO
